Combining the power of artificial intelligence (AI) and ACV’s data library, ACV MAX Retail transforms how auto dealers appraise trade-ins and price vehicles by predicting the retail sale price of a vehicle with unmatched accuracy.

Appraising and pricing inventory is at the core of what dealers do in ACV MAX. Having a more accurate and more stable price prediction enables dealers to more accurately predict what a vehicle will sell for at retail, ultimately leading to better pricing decisions to increase conversion rates, reduce days to turn, and increase profitability.

How is ACV MAX Retail different?

• Every VIN is unique – ACV MAX retail values are determined using modern AI and ACV’s wealth of industry, market and retail data; combined with unique data about each VIN like vehicle history and OEM build data.
• Look to the future, not to the past – ACV MAX Retail predicts the retail price that we expect a vehicle to sell for in the next 30 days. It’s not just a historic average of what similar vehicles sold for in the past, its a predictive value of what we expect to happen in the future.

How is ACV MAX Retail calculated? 

ACV MAX Retail values use cutting-edge AI & machine learning to more accurately predict the sale price of a vehicle. Our AI models process a huge amount of data including (but not limited to) market analytics, sales transaction history, industry pricing trends, and consumer demand. 

Do you predict how long it will take a vehicle to sell? 

ACV MAX Retail predicts a sale price based on the expected sale price in the next 30 days.

Is it available on New Cars? 

No, ACV MAX Retail is currently only available for used cars.

How often are valuations updated?

ACV MAX Retail valuations are refreshed weekly. 

Does it include Carfax or Autocheck Accident History? 

No, we do not currently include adjustments for Carfax or Autocheck vehicle history in the ACV MAX Retail value. If a vehicle has issues in the vehicle history report, you will still need to take that into account when appraising or pricing a vehicle.

Does the feature cost extra? 

No. Unlike many industry book providers that charge per dealer or per user fees for access to their valuations, ACV MAX Retail is available at no additional cost to all dealers using ACV MAX.
